Comdex: Taurus Server Appliance intro'd

Celestix Networks Inc. has announced the Taurus Server Appliance. It's a network server appliance designed to support small to midsized businesses and up to 250 users at a time. The system incorporates e-mail, scheduled back-up, VPN and secure firewall, and an anti-virus engine with up to 40GB of internal storage.
Like other network attached storage (NAS) appliances, the Taurus Server Appliance can be up and running in just a few minutes. The system incorporates an LCD display that offers up a user-accessible menu system, and configuration can also happen remotely through a Web browser.
The Taurus Server Appliance can also be configured with a PCMCIA-based 802.11b networking card, making the unit compatible with the same standard employed by Apple's own AirPort wireless networking cards. And although the Taurus itself is built on Intel-compatible underpinnings, it is Mac OS compatible. It supports various flavo! rs of Windows, Linux (news - web sites) and UNIX networking standards too.
