Yes it is junk science. The global warming hypothesis was based on real scientific phenomena. But it broke down on further investigation. The definition of junk science is a set of politically useful hyppotheses that are upheld fervently, chiefly through the citation of anecdotes and anomalies, long after the relevant body of evidence has refuted the essential proposition: in this case, that the earth is currently undergoing a dangerous and unusual process of warming caused by human industrial activity.
