I had the opportunity to hear a technical presentation on NTAP filers on Friday. Wow! These guys remind me so much of the PC business in the early days, with EMC representing IBM. They have an easy to use(from the user's perspective) product that is just not going to be easily duplicated, due to the IPR with the Filer OS and I/O algorithms. That is where they diverge from the PC analogy and why they can own this market to themselves. Cooters - In the interest of disclosure, I am long NTAP and hope those sleaze-bags at EMC lose their butts
