Jim, Re: "anyone who says anything but the party line about Intel exhibits typical AMDroid qualities."
Modify the word "anything" with the word "everything", and then your statement would be true.
You are right that you are sometimes not pro-AMD, but even during those times, you are still anti-Intel. You predicted the rise of P4, but you are quick to correct that it is not on the merit of the engineering. You admit that i845 sells, but you quickly add that it is only due to marketing B.S. You say that Intel looks good going forward, but you immediately amend that it will only do well based on megahertz.
Give me a break, Jim. What would I want you to say? How about either giving Intel a break once in a while, or at least admitting that you never intend to do so.
I may be the same way, but at least I've complemented the K7 micro-architecture numerous times, I have commended AMD engineers on their hard work and genius, I and have applauded AMD technologies like Hypertransport. I may disagree with AMD management to the point where I am fed up with them as a whole, but I am more than willing to complement the engineers for a job well done. Being an engineer myself, I suppose I sympathize with them having to work for a company whose CEO is more interested in his own ego, than for the well being of his company.
