Just heard Dan Rather, of doubtful sanity, say something fairly interesting on a Chicago radio station....basically it was that we were lucky to have two candidates that could be earning far more money doing something else than running for president.....EVEN Mr. Romney!!!!

For once he was half right at least.....I remember listening to a Florida political power player talking about how to get a young man of potential into politics.....the general theory was that you throw him a million dollar lawsuit to handle so that he could afford to take the time to run for office.....that was 35 or 40 years ago, fast forward to Mr. Obama and throw in a 5 or 6 million dollar book deal and tell me somebody was not paving the way forward.

Mr. Obama will not be a big earner in any great productive way past his days at 1600 Pennsylvania....yeah, he will make money, but not from any great addition to the economy.
