Christine, you seem like such a nice person. We agree, " Nothing else can be proven, and I don't want to waste my life arguing about it, either." Yes, nothing can really be proved and I have no intention of arguing about it. But, I have been where you are now. I've seen both sides and please believe me, The Bible is correct, God has not required that He be proved, but that we come to Him by Faith and trust. Just like you said and I agree, it cannot be proved by the standards of this world.
God Himself has said the same thing, "1 Cor 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe."
"1 Cor 2:2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
1 Cor 2:3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling.
1 Cor 2:4 And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
1 Cor 2:5 that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God."
Now some news which will please you. This will be my last post to you concerning the things of God. Christ has commanded us to not spend all our energy on one person because there are so many who have not heard the good news of His resurrection. As you know, God will not force anyone to accept Him.
