fingolfen, I will take your 50Mhz as gospel. Explain to me then why they decided to spend so much $$$$ on it. Electromigration. Intel's 0.18 micron aluminum process uses very high aspect ratio metal lines to extend that technology to 0.18, but the same trick wouldn't work for 0.13, hence they had to move to copper.
