Trey & all,
I could be way wrong but I'm of the opinion that the chart indicated a change in direction today. Looks to have met heavy resistance @ 8.5 & doesn't want to break 9. I still stand by it should hold a gain this time but the break of 7.5 might be an indicator that two closes below is in the wings. May have been a take out of stops & Id still love to see this puppy take off! Very interesting @ the least.
Trey, its been suggested that the shorts are all over this thing & considering Awre's stock price one surely has to wonder just what in the heck is going on. Anyone one who has used a T1 line knows that g-lite isn't broad band but its beginning to look like that's it for now. The phone companies don't want to offer Adsl & especially above 1.5 @ a reasonable price. I really do think that they want a per minute charge which brings to mind the "always on". I can just here it now. We had to make it "always on" to deliver this but they only use it 2 hours a day. It takes all our backbone & blah blah blah. Simple case of politics talk & bs walks. Some of the cable COs (& ATT sure jumped @ the oppy} are already whining about the FCC. Way I see it, what's fair for one is fair for the other. All of this merger crap isn't going to do you, me, or anyone else any good @ all. I've watched the local cable lay line here & all of this is so blown out of proportions that public opinion is making it a situation, which will keep things status quo in the long run. Heck man, in places that cable isn't even below the surface of the ground & could be hit w/ a lawn mower. You have a good point in that Wstl's CO product has run into some strategic complications & we can only hope that Wstl's line cards are cutting edge & will be used because it appears that the Dslam is going to the big dogs. Not that I look for Wstl to be involved but I could see where phone & cable are converged here. Since this is my post for the week I might add that maybe someone is working on this already! lol
As for the Canada & Ala news. Due credit where due credit is due. The Dr has put up some valued posts here. Not often will you find what he has offered on this thread. What most of us had the privilege of knowing before it happened (not that others didn't first} was a change in management's decisions. Without it being said we knew in a round about way that Wstl would use Ala chips instead of Adi in advance.
Something I found interesting from today's PR
<robust broadband connectivity and software extensions to G.Lite and G.DMT, including ISDN support.>
If you will notice Orctf most usually includes ISDN in their product offerings.
Night,
Dug
P.S.
Skiwal, if memroy serves me correct Ala has covered Amati's & Awre's with Awre's going through a certian out of bussines company. |
