One thing that I'm not very keen about in the reviews of x2 is
that failure to mention that FCC regulations do not allow data
transfer rates higher than 53Kbps. Also, the reviews seem to
think that 28.8Kbps modems actually deliver this speed as well;
above average connections are from 21.6-26.4Kbps. Its really a
function of the line quality. Lastly, I think paying $60 for
a substantial increase in throughput is much more cost effective
than paying $100-150 per month to a telco for ISDN, an then only
getting 50-75 calls per month, not to mention hourly fees per
channel hour from the ISP.

I don't have any holdings in USRobotics. I do, however, have a
USRobotics modem. Lastly...as if the new Rockwell chipset will
actually deliver 56Kbps or even the allowed 53Kbps consistently.
