Absolutely. It's time to stop consoling ourselves with the "owing 75% of the profit" mantra, or soon even that 75% will go, if it hasn't already started sliding. Just two years ago, Apple had 90% of the profit, and now we're supposed to be happy with 75%? A certain amount of market share is necessary if only to maintain mind share so that when people can afford your deluxe model they will go for it. But if your market share is to be so small as to make you invisible, then you're basically out of the game!
