Ok Ga Bard I will take you up on your 7 step guide line, <g>
and throw TRIL into the ring... it meets 6 of your guidelines.
I have owned it for about 6 months before doubling out in March. Then increasing my holdings last week... its now at a yearly low. (around .875)

1. TRIL is the #2 "dry natural gas" producer in California, (dry natural gas comes off the well head clean with no oil or contaminates mixed in) TRIL's game plan is drill these "dry gas wells" and put "portable" 1 mega watt gas fed electrical generators on or near the gas well (s) This will allow them to produce electricity to participate in the newly deregulated California Electrical supply markets, and to also sell the excess natural gas on the gas supply markets, dry LNG demands a premium.

2. Charting and logs show accumulation, the company announced a share buy back program about a week or 2 back.

3.*** the clinker of this stock, the float is around 18 to 19 million at the moment. Before the buyback.

4. Natural gas and electricity, is a pretty safe combination for moms money <g> No debt, and the company gives its investors a chance to actually participate in fianancing the next well to be drilled, via a partnership % and or 144 stock.

5. Company is 30 years old and well defined... it did go through bankruptcy in 1995 and 1996 due to some out side raiders trying to mount a hostile take over... its all on the SEC files.

6. No PR firm Lynn Blythstone the President and CEO always makes time to talk to investors.

7. Solid management, several active producing wells, and some that are shut in waiting on better gas prices, before they start pumping again.

TRIL is at a yearly low, they brought in a well last month that had all the earmarks of being a record setting well, but as it seems they did strike oil and gas, but it was contaminated with water, sand and high contents of methane gas, it was just not economically feasible to pump it.... to bad this field was located 30 miles East of San Fran, perfectly situated to supply electricity to that area.

They are drilling a new well on a new site, and the results should be in in the next month or so.

TRIL is worth a look even if you decide its not meeting your criteria.
