The TSX Venture Exchange gained 8.73 points to 808.59 while polished diamond prices inched higher. Jim Gowans's Dominion Diamond Corp. (DDC) lost 23 cents to $17.20 on 159,000 shares. The company has been producing strong cash flow and cheerful studies of new projects at its Ekati and Diavik mines this year, but the only thing driving its stock is takeover speculation and the latest rumours are getting stale.
