I partially agree with you. We should observe the following.
Last when MSFT reported

.39, .44, .44, .44 or 3 flat sequential quarters, the stock
in fact hit 33 trailing PE. It all depends on wall street
perception of growth, don't you think?

Also, MSFT grew from 1Billion to 11 billion in 7 years.
I don't think it will be at 110Billion revenue in next 7 years.

Analysts think 13Billion for FY98, 16B for FY99 and may be
19-20Billion for FY00. 30% net profit margin would give
6billion in net income or about $4.20 in EPS for Fy00.

180 - 250 for year 2000 is possible. But it is unlikely
the 3X in 2 years will be repeated.

This may be why Soros and Gates unloaded recently. Of course,
people say you can't wrong buying MSFT at any price and
I do see 150 this calender year.
