I soon expect us to be overtly arranging elections in countries whose gov'ts p*ss us off whereas in the past we knew enough to keep those manipulations covert.

One has to wonder if Mr Rumsfeld and the administration would have any chance of making a case of attacking Iraq if Sept 11 had not happened, even as, after a good college try, our leadership has not been able to establish even the remotest connection between the two.

Al, that may not have been a problem. AOL did an informal poll and 65% of the respondees felt it was appropriate for the US to dispose of Saddam. One must further wonder whether its the 9/11 fear factor at play, or the fact there is no longer a Russia to counter balance our superpower status.
