Possibility -will see a price cut on Windows 98 in a while.
My reasoning is that MSFT will want to demonstrate that it is
feeling competitive pressures and has to cut prices to maintain
a lead on the potential upstarts. Should help them in DOJ case.
Besides at some point they will eliminate Windows 98 anyways and introduce Win2000 for the ordinary users (maybe in 2001).

This might cause a dip in the price---great buying opportunity.
JUST SPECULATING!!

BTW--Linux or any other operating systems don't stand a chance
to gain broad acceptance. MSFT will just "use" them for its case.
Good for them!!!
