tbr is also influenced by meltdown in asian currencies, a huge account deficit, soaring national debt, and wild brazilian traders. remember that there are a number of candidates wanting to run brazil--cardoso is a free marketeer--lula a socialist has a lot of support among labor and the disaffected poor. the stock is buffeted by financial, political and stock market factors. i bought at 75 and sold at 155. i am hoping to get in again when and if it drops some more--bottom line--brazil needs a lot more phones, it is a good long term play if you buy low. also a helluva stock to trade if you have an iron stomach.
