NATURALLY SPLENDID TO CO-OWN OMEGA PATENTS AND PROVIDES CORPORATE UPDATE

1. Omega Patent – Co-Ownership
Naturally Splendid is pleased to announce the relationship with Full Spectrum Laboratories and Boreal Technologies continues to strengthen, with the most recent transaction being an application to the United States Patent Office for co-ownership of HempOmega™ patents. Boreal Technologies President Mr. Guan Lim states, “For us, this progression was an obvious step. Naturally Splendid continues to exceed many of our expectations in the development of products for the omega nutrition market. Naturally Splendid was there in the early stages of the development of our Omega technologies, specifically HempOmega™. They have provided not only business support, but have invested capital directly into these technologies as well as through funding from the National Research of Canada that they secured, as well as developing relationships with potential clients for a wide range of omega products based on our technologies”.
Naturally Splendid CEO Craig Goodwin advises, “We have developed a strategic business plan that we are executing on. We have established a retail distribution network across Canada and now into the United States; increased our revenue potential by securing scientifically supported technology to provide superior products to an omega market that is estimated at $35 Billion annually; and have now taken the securing of licenses a step further and will now own omega technology with the co-filing of the HempOmega™ patents. Naturally Splendid will continue to make efforts to secure ownership of scientifically proven, commercially viable patents and/or trade secrets”.
2. Emerging Omega Opportunities
The Company is pleased to advise that the strategic relationship with Nature’s Health Products Canada Corp. (NHPCC), a Division of POS Bio-Sciences of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has resulted in multiple inquiries from their clientele in regards to evaluating the suitability and potential for our omega technologies and related products to be included in existing or entirely new formulations. Potential markets for HempOmega™ include products for human consumption, as well as poultry and beef feed stock and pet food products.
In addition, the Company is pleased to inform that Boral Technologies has initiated meetings for Naturally Splendid to present HempOmega™ to several of their existing clients. Boreal Technologies President Guan Lim states, “We have had interest from multiple contacts that we have developed over the years as to the specifications of our omega technologies. We are now working closely with Naturally Splendid to monetize these relationships”.
3. Proposed Transaction and Private Placement Update
Naturally Splendid continues to cooperate with the TSX Venture Exchange as they continue to review the proposed transaction announced in the news release dated November 20, 2014.
On closing of the transaction, which is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, the Company’s initial focus will be directed to the opportunities as it relates to the nutritional Omega Technologies developed by Boreal Technologies and licensed from Full Spectrum Laboratories Limited. Naturally Splendid Vice President of Operations, Bryan Carson states, “We are most fortunate that the technologies developed by Boreal Technologies, are multi-dimensional in that the omega extraction and formulation technology is similar to the cannabinoid extraction and formulation technology. This allows Naturally Splendid to penetrate the lucrative global omega market where there are no regulatory issues, while the regulatory environment for cannabinoid technologies and products continues to evolve”.
The Company is also diligently working to complete its previously announced private placement financing and licensing of the technology developed by Full Spectrum Laboratories Limited. Further announcements will be made as these matters are completed.
