Are you saying that god is vindictive and punitive?

Would believe that god's true actions and desires are rehabilitative or punitive? What do you think they should be?

The concept of hell, eternal punishment, is a statment that God believes in tortuous punishment, and that rehabilitation(surely a higher road) is beyond him in some cases. Besides contradicting the turn the other cheek statement, why would god ever choose torture over rehabilitation? Remember, He is God so the end result will turn out to be whatever he wants. Why would he choose torture over rehabilitation? Dont tell me that some souls are beyond rehabilitation, because that puts a limit on god. dont tell me that it isnt fair to others, because surely God could find a way to make it fair. The only reason is because he would have to prefer eternal punsiment via torture over rehabilitation. I have never heard an answer to this that has satisfied my curiosity. I usually get a satement that says I am not to question god, or am putting myself above him by asking.

I am doing none of those things. I have never heard an answer that makes sense to me, and am using my god given gift of curiosity to ask Why?
