The GSEs got to be the most important story out there and yet, it is receiving no coverage and certainly no credible analysis. So what does it mean to shorten the leash? Eliminate the loan guarantee? Force them to report like any publicly traded company? Financing is the back bone of the real estate market and the GSEs are 50% of the back bone. Add HUD and VA on top of that, the true private sector is only carrying a minority of the load. And the biggest tragedy ---- I would be travelling for the next 3 weeks and would not be around to play this move. <ggggg>
