Sorry, I don't remember. If I knew I would have identified the source. I take all this stuff in from all these sources. I have the TV on while I'm on the computer. I have a dozen tabs open at a time as I take it all in. The sources don't stick.

I remember enough, though, to tell you it wasn't a scripted news broadcast. It came up in a discussion with a guest. So it may not meet your criteria.

As for the importance of the news orgs making a point of this, I take your point. Still, it's hard for me to believe that there are a lot of people watching this news that don't already know that the losses in Iraq are tiny when compared with previous wars. I don't know what metric people use when they look at losses. Two thousand is not a lot when you compare it to Vietnam. OTOH, it's two thousand too many if you don't think we should have gone there in the first place.
