Zenith delivered the first symbolic set top box to Americast in Dec., the day after CUBE's AViA announcement. This is from Zenith's 4/22 earning release. It looks like no significant number of boxes have shipped yet............................................................. The company also plans to begin shipments in 1997 of high-resolution computer display tubes to computer monitor manufacturers, as well as new digital set-top boxes to telecommunications companies under the multi-year, $1 billion Americast contract signed last August.
