From Upside Magazines May 97 editorial.....If we had a mantra, it would be (repeat after me): convergence ... convergence ... convergence ... No! Make that: The Virtual Corporation! (I'm kidding. It's convergence.) That's the one business buzzword we swear by at Upside. Telcos, cable companies, entertainment conglomerates, media empires, software companies and chip makers are infiltrating each others' territories like venture capitalists on steroids CUBE seems to be positioned right in the thick of things. That's why Pixar could go public on the strength of a hit movie. It's why Microsoft is buying WebTV Networks, for God's sake (hey, wait a minute ... doesn't WebTV own a hardware design?).........
