I hadn't realized that Democrats in the White House were such bad news for the markets.
That's NOT the point, WT, although you would like it to be to prove your point. The point is that THIS particular Democrat has chosen to place his own PERSONAL interests and desire for power AHEAD of the interest of ALL Americans, which is have a President-elect and get on with then nation's and the world's business.
Irrespective of market activity, YOUR MAN, Al Gore, has chosen to lead this country into divisive turmoil, tremendous uncertainty and lack of legitimacy in the Executive Branch NO MATTER who assumes office at this point. He lectures us that his "fight" is one to realize the "will of the people," which is so insulting to us all for his definition of "that will" is one that shows Al Gore as President. The true "will of the people" by Al Gore's definition is with a doubt secondary to his personal quest for power as illustrated by the continual Democratic effort in South Florida to compel, IOW sue, these local canvassing boards to hand count not once, but twice the votes he feels are due him when repeatedly they have exercised their own discretion (the will of the people) not to.
I guess the last 8 years just didn't happen. Hopefully, we can return to those glory market years of 1987, 1990, 1991 when the Republicans had things so well managed.
No it didn't, and it had nothing to do with the Clinton Administration, although, again, you'd like us to be convinced otherwise. I think most of us know, "its the Internet, stupid," and don't tell us that the Internet is Al's baby. That's another misconception you'd probably like us to believe here.
The bottom line to your claim that a Democratic administration is responsible for the long bull market, and the success of our economy is completely bogus. It is a matter of luck, and a matter of timing, because much of the underpinnings of this economy were in place long before Bill Clinton took office.
