GP, >Being a bit parochial aren't you? Try checking out the shelves in Europe. Why should AMD stock retail shelves in recession-bound US when there are relatively healthy markets elsewhere? Also, there are no indications from CPU pricing that indicate AMD is struggling to shift product. Give up on the U.S. market at Christmas time? Sounds like a pretty risky strategy to me. And, Europe usually follow the U.S. in economic ups and downs by a quarter or two. Hypothetical question to myself: if I own stock in µP company "A", do I want to see PCs with their chip inside, on the shelves at Christmas time, in the USA, or do I want to see company "B"s there?
