You're missing the concept: If a company would die off because they couldn't afford taxes, then they simply didn't have the efficiencies and/or innovation to become profitable enough. Obviously the weaker, less innovative businesses will not survive as easily. Anyone can innovate... the beauty of Capitalism is that only the stronger innovations and efficient companies see the light of day. If the tax system will help clear the battlegrounds faster by imposing higher expenses, then that's fine by me. The beauty of a Progressive Capitalism is that we have both greed driven innovation and efficiency; plus the minimum standards to drive up education, increase likeliness of taking innovation from paper to reality, and the consumer strength to support such innovative ideas via purchasing power.
