BTW--I don't like AOL--- I mean the internet service. I have been on it for under a month. Could not get the MSFT conference call. It appears they use the customized "AOL" browser (IE). I hate it. Going back to AT&T soon. If you're using Win95 or Win98 you can check to see if NetZero at netzero.com has an access number in your area. NetZero is a free internet service that puts a little movable ad window, about the same size as the normal banner ad on most web pages or the stinking pop up window on GeoCities pages, on your screen. You use their software to invoke the dialer and then use whatever browser and email software you want. I set my low-tech brother-in-law in Tucson up with it and he's happy as a clam. He connects at about 42kbps. I don't use it because I dial out through my Linux machine so my wife and I can share the internet connection on our Win98 machines.
