KIS or anyone,

Please forgive the naive question, but how can it be legal to admittedly write down inventory as worthless and then sell it and claim the revenue toward profits? Assuming this is as crooked as it seems, I'm amazed that Chambers admits it in a matter-of-fact fashion.
