Brumar89, Mr. Nehru was a staunch belever and follower of democracy which he acquired because of his education in England. Gandhi, Nehru's mentor was so disillusioned by his right hand man Mr. Jinnah (the founder of Pakistan) asking for the creation of a country based on population of religious faiths, that he refused to to even take a seat of power in India. Even Lord Mountbatten (the last Britisn viceroy in India) ridiculed the idea put forth for the creation of Pakistan by Jinnah. But things went the way Jinnah wanted. He died soon after the birth of Pakistan. But hi successors believed in brute force and wanted to overrun Kashmir. Did not want to look at the will of the Kashmiris. Since then (1948), the Muslim extremists constantly infiltrated into Kashmir, committed terrorist acts and have driven the original residents out from Kashmir. If you can come up with a methodology on how we can have a plebicite today with more than half the original residents forced out, then we can have one.

As I said in my post earlier, Pakistan cannot be the source of a "nuclear blackmail". The world has to be united to stop this. It is very easy to get carried away with a war cry which says "Ye the believers of Allah rise in support of the Muslim bomb" More than half the Muslim world is poor and illeterate and hence prone to falling for such a war cry.
