Wouldn't it be interesting to take the 10 "major" papers in the country, and add the total number of column-inches of AP, Reuters, NYT, etc articles printed EACH day, and compare these totals at the end of a month...versus actual investigative reporting for each of those "so called 10 major papers"... We all might have a better definition of "journalists" and "commentators". Maybe the "elite" won't feel so high and mighty after all.
