While 69 percent do favor U.S. military action to force Saddam Hussein from power, that falls to 54 percent if U.S. allies oppose it. And while 57 percent support a U.S. invasion of Iraq with ground troops, that drops to 40 percent if it means heavy U.S. casualties. All majorities except the last which may be a plurality depending on what the other response get. Personally I'd like to know more about what Bush plans before I give an attack my unqualified support. I think an invasion is tactically and operationally doable, and morally justified, but the situation in Iraq post invasion could be very messy. Of course I understand why the DoD isn't publishing invasion plans and timetables on the internet... Tim
