Jock: That is indeed long term "investing". ---- LSI mentioned as "Best of Show" in Bloomberg Personal. Which is good until one realizes that there are 59 other "Best of Show" companies and... the "reason" LSI is picked is because they make - embedded processors - "Rounding out the best of the embedded microprocessor companies are Hitachi, NEC, Philips Electronics, and LSI Logic in California. But take note: Intel itself is also pushing into this blazing area." May be it's just me but I thought LSI was just a tad more than an embedded microprocessor company! Having said that LSI does sell a lot of embedded processors and thanks to the chips in the PlayStation they grew really fast last year. Boy I hope people don't think of LSI as a proxy for Motorola <g> Article also mentions networking, game consoles and handsets as viable boom markets (esp. the third). Shane.
