Yes, it does.....Krugman's point was well taken. I have no real data to support this, but it has occurred to me that my generation may be the peak in terms of American longevity and living healthily into old age. Too much pollution in food and air, and worsening diet and exercise habits all the way down to early childhood. If I live another 30 years, it wouldn't surprise me to see the aggregate longevity numbers had rolled over and were trending down somewhat.
