No-hands teaching Joanne Jacobs The 12-year-old boy wanted to get a drink of water. The teacher said to wait till the lesson was over. The boy got up from his seat. The teacher grabbed his shoulder and tried to get him to sit down, but the boy left the classroom. Now the teacher, a 34-year veteran with a perfect record, has been charged with assault on the mother's complaint and reprimanded for "putting hands" on a student. From a letter to the editor of the Clarksville, Tenn. Leaf-Chronicle comes a message to parents: To parents I have a message: It is time you stopped wasting American taxpayer money with your inability to raise your child to the standards of a civilized society.
