Today is a Christmas gift from President Clinton.
While I was working in the defense industry during the Desert Storm,
the basic rule quoted to me out of a (then well placed)person at the Pentagon was 1/2 oz of silver shot in the form of pictures for every 1.5 pounds of lead and steel (bullets, bombs & missiles).
It takes years for those negatives to become declassified & recycled.
Today, we are using more digital, but understand the best resolution IR are still "old fashioned" photos. then there are the X-rays of air-frames that increase as sorties increase.
