For the heck of it, install your old HD as your secondary drive in your new computer. Set the jumper to slave, and just see what happens.

You can always turn off the computer and unplug the drive if you get errors, warnings or whatever, however, I think it will work.

Transfering files from one HD to another in the same system is SUPER fast.
