If public opinion was influenced by what the economic consequences would be in we fail in the Persian Gulf starting with Iraq then we would see real conviction and the seditious legislators like Murtha would not dare their behaviour.

If Iraq alone fails to export we move back towards $100 a barrel, if Iraq manages to impact oil flow from production on its borders, then chaos will begin.
