There is no MB (MacBook) any longer, only the MacBook Pro or the MacBook Air if you're buying new.

Since you're talking about hard drives, I'll assume you mean the MacBook Pro. In that case, yes, the RAM is easily installed and I believe the hard drive can be replaced easily as well for anyone with even minor computer skills.

To find out for sure about the hard drive, check out ifixit or Google around for some instructions.
