Hi Brian,

Some time back, a Bre-X spokesman (Paul Kavanagh, I believe it was) said that there were THREE different types of Bre-X gold. I believe, at that time, he said that to try to assure us that the Bre-X samples were not salted with alluvial or placer gold. I have forgotten the details, but one of the three types was the small nuggety type of gold with rounded edges similar to that found in alluvial gold.

Despite "insignificant amounts of gold" I believe Freeport's analysts saw the gold particles under magnification.
