I doubt gays will ever be comfortable with their difference and so will always be bugging heterosexuals to do something more to demonstrate acceptence of them as the same, but with a different orientation or as having an equivalent choice in life style. ... and the dramma continues.

People used to say blacks who wanted their civil rights were uppity, and if they acted more like white people, white people would treat them better.

Now we're saying similar things about gays who want their civil rights. "Maybe if they acted less gay..."

Like you said, gay relationships are becoming more and more accepted in American society all the time, which is why i don't think gay marriage is very far away.
