Lee, I don't like AOL as an investment--probably puts me in the
minority here. Their internet service has good and bad points.
I have experienced some problems which were mostly due to me
being internet illiterate.

I am considering AT&T as a strong rival to AOL. Not yet----but they
are working on it. Once they have the cable lines available sometime
this spring you can bet a big cable internet
push is going to take place.

Why are we hearing about Microsoft and AT&T talks taking place? MSFT
knows how strong AT&T's internet business is going to be, and are
trying to do some sort of deals with them. This is my clue to AT&T's
potential in the internet business (don't know much about their
long distance telephone biz and don't really care)

BTW--the effects of the DOJ case on MSFT----As long as they don't
force MSFT to charge lower prices for Windows, any outcome is OK
for me. Worst case is a short term dip. The decision is still
far away (probably summer). MSFT wraps up its case in March according
to the company.
