Spots, I understand your opionion but think its wrong. I recommend more reading on formal methods of software engineering. There really are NOT many differences betwen the two just the typical stereotypes blocking a deeper undertanding on the metrics needed. wish you were coming to TAOTL, this would make for a long interesting discussion. BTW: although I design hardware professionally, that entails writing tons of software in many languages. I got my first professional programming job 15 years ago and can program in over 35 languages. Point being that I have a very strong understanding of software engineering as well and am not a typical hardware guy. BTW: Did you check the SAPS modem sharing software... Sean
