Tim -- we have been propping up Israel as long as I can remember. We propped up the Shah of Iran until his own people got tired of him using the billions of dollars we gave him in military aid to repress his own people. Then we supported Saddam in his bid to destroy Iran. We have been in bed with the House of Saud for decades -- just ask Bush and his daddy. We had troops on their soil for years -- bad policy to be sure. We maintain as many bases as we can get our hands on -- invding Iraq was in part bid to expand our network. Bin Laden did not attack us because we make movies in Hollywood that he does not like.
