Thank you for posting the poem Ignacio. I seem to recall this poem is it called le Cygne? I have not read Mallarme for many years but his poems are full of such strong imagery. I do recall that I did not always understand the greater meaning of his poems but I always loved his language. And if you change the words of a translator, IMO, you are taking no liberties with the poem but only giving another translation. Alexa
