This is not really heavy volume...

Remember NOVELL is buying back their own shares through October 1996 at the average rate of 1 million per week. When average daily volume reaches over 8 million per day, then someone is accumulating. My guess is the instutitional investors who bailed out in December and January. Look at the chart and you will notice one day 24 million shares traded. The reason for our most recent bottom at $11 3/8 was due to heavy and continious selling.

We are now on the other side of the fence. For the stock to move up to fair valuation, we need continuous buying (with the help form Novell). Fair value at this point is around $15-$16.

As 2Q and 3Q earning are released and the analyst raise their 1997 estimates and are convinced that Novell's management is implementing their turn around plan (after the sale of WP), the fair valus of Novell should rise. My guess, using a 20% growth factor....$22-$28 by end of 1996. Much higher for 1997.

Management must continue to implement their strategy and get results...ie. sales growth and earnings growth!

Good Luck and Good Trading
