LOL! You do know how to roll with a punch. Good luck on your thread -- really! I think the more venues for discussion the better (mine is kinda narrow in focus wrt the Foreign Xxxxx threads).
But, you have been an excellent contributor to FADG and everyone appreciates your efforts. Please don't have any hard feelings -- I've excluded almost everyone for a day or two during this past year (EOB -- Equal Opportunity Banner). :o)
I can't back up my 30,000 number. I just remember it from a discussion on the tube last year and figured it sounded about right to me if you include the hoaxes. After all, are about 20,000 towns and cities in the US so, heck, 30,000 incidents in 7.2 million town-days per year wouldn't particularly surprise me at all. Why should it?
Don't the 600 ACTUAL bombs investigated by the ATF this year surprise anyone? I found that number quite interesting. The fellow at the ATF said the local police forces and FBI handled many more lesser incidents so ... why are people bouncing off the walls over the 30K number? As for chasing down the detailed figs -- eh, not that important to me; I'm comfortable with what I know and I'll easily (when not badgered) admit that I have NADA to back it up.
