It's not the IRS but the local school board raising taxes to cover the extra money the NEA got from the strike. It used to be the ground was taxed by the value of what it produced. That got hammered when some of the teachers started making $80k for 9 months work. As the real value went down the taxes went up. It costs $2.25 to raise a bushel of corn and the price at the elevator is $1.90. Our country hasn't had a farm program in years.
