most doctors will not accept new medicare patient

This is fact. It appears that because you want to believe in socialism, you don't want to believe the facts.

"Medicare pays. They pay just fine. You know exactly what you will be paid and in the case of Part B medicare you know exactly how much they will pay."

Your first and third sentences are accurate. The fact that Medicare often pays 10 cents on the dollar is responsible for part of the crisis in elder care.

Often doctors will be forced to send out labs they would otherwise do in house because of the Medicare reimbursement. This increases the doctors cost of delivering medical care while receiving less reimbursement. The patient has to be called back with results and any further testing indicated by the results requires inconveniencing the patient who has to make a return trip to the doctor. Some consultants advise doctors to order "justifiable" profitable tests to cover their losses on unprofitable ones which increase the cost of medical care for both MediCare and the patient.
