What is the Fucken use of the Dept. of Education?
You can peruse their FY2024 budget summary just for kicks and giggles.

It's a laundry list of federal programs which may or may not have any significant benefits.

Here's a factoid that should give perspective. The DoE requested a $90B budget for FY2024, which is a 13.6% increase from the prior year.

That may sound like a lot, and it probably is, but it is pennies on the dollar compared to what the states spend on education.

California, for example, spends over $100B a year on education.
