I'm sure the iPhone 5 is better than my Cherry Mobile cell phone, but it's not 5x better. They may look the same and have the same buttons. But they will feel different and work differently. Ultimately, it comes down to the experience each device delivers. That's when things get tricky, because how does one go about assigning "x-times better" on something as abstract and subjective as user experience? What do you measure, adrenalin or endorphin levels? I've never figured that one out.
