Dave (and thread), I am also a young guy who daytrades for a living (23). I have been at this game fulltime since I was (20). I have seen a lot of folks come and go over time. There are a lot of youngsters out there that trade for a living in my neck of the woods (Michigan). Some have had success while others have not. I can certainly attest to the 90% plus attrition rate this business has to offer as I seen it firsthand. It takes a lot of patience and hardwork to be a successful trader. I think I have reached a point in my trading that will allow me to continue this endeavor for a very long time. Currently I am working on a new approach to trading that will help me capture the big moves when they occur. I can and will always scalp to "pay the bills" but now its time to start seeking out more position trading when the conditions of the market warrant this. Leland
